Our Newcomer Center is a specialized program designed to support students who have been in the country for less than two years and are in the early phases of English language acquisition. The center focuses on:

• Intensive Language Acquisition: Explicit, systematic English instruction in listening, reading, speaking, and writing through high-dosage, targeted interventions.

• Academic Support: Foundational skills in literacy and numeracy; grade-appropriate content delivered with language scaffolds and visual supports.

• Social-Emotional Support: Cultural acclimation, school routines, and emotional support to ease the transition into the U.S. school system; connection to community resources for families as needed.

The Newcomer Center creates a safe, welcoming environment where students with similar language levels and experiences learn together, building confidence and foundational skills before transitioning to their home schools with continued EL support.
